The Pension

The former  grain silo was converted into a boarding house from 1997 till 1999. We tried to preserve the farmhous character.

The mill

The Zuppinger-driven waterwheel dating from 1906 with a diameter of 5.30 m  moved the grinding machines until 1989. Today it is used to generate electricity.


Along the river and on the limestone slopes of the Tauber Valley you find a rich nature.



The „Topplerschlösschen“

Opposite the Fox Mill is the “Town Walls”, the summer residence of the Roth probably best known Burgers. Heinrich Toppler, once an influential mayor of the town of Rothenburg was in 1408 under unexplained circumstances in the dungeon basement of City Hall were killed.

It checks Rothenburg from the top. Clearly the city wall is visible. The Tauber flows beneath the city. The Tauber Valley is famous for its mills. You can take a lot of enjoyment bike. Rothenburg and the surrounding area offer numerous tours. The 1000-km-cycling and hiking tours in the region are among the finest in Germany. If you go quietly in a balloon over the Taubertahl, you will see the idyllic Fuchsmuehle.


Up to walk across the “wobbly bridge” and then the old donkey steep climb, you reach the historic old town of Rothenburg within 15 minutes. One of the main trade goods of the city in the Middle Ages, sheep wool from the Tauber Valley.
